Tandoori chicken

Today we travel a little bit outside of our habits. Thanks to my education, eating things from all around the world is normal and the tandoori chicken is a typical recipe of India that I use to eat since I am a child. This is very simple and delicious, very practical when you invite friends at home because you just have to put it in the oven and serve it with rice and/or vegetables. If you want it lighter you can use a light yogurt for the marinade. You can do it more or less do it spicy by adding chili powder to the mix of spices. I hope you’ll like it !

Ingredients:

  • 6 chicken legs
  • 200 g plain yoghurt
  • 100g of fresh coriander
  • 1/3 teaspoon of turmeric
  • 1/3 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1/3 teaspoon garlic powder and paprika
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 3 tablespoons of oil
  • Salt & peppe

Recipe:

Step 1: Allow 3 hours of marinade.

Step 2: Mix all spices with lemon juice and yoghurt.

Step 3: Insert chicken pieces and marinate for at least 3 hours (covered at room temperature). Stir occasionally.

Step 4: Put the chicken pieces on the preheated oven plate and cook for a maximum of 45 minutes (at 180 ° C, ie thermostat 6).

Step 6: At time to serve, drizzle with a few drops of lemon juice and fresh coriander.

Step 5: Watch the cooking, because depending on your oven, it can go much faster! Take the chicken out before it starts to darken!

Bon appétit !
